History

Navigator Development Group Inc. was established in September 1997 from the vision of Albert L. Patterson III and Keith E. Gay to provide complete solutions for government and industry leaders to help them achieve measurable and positive results.

The co-owners first met while stationed in Korea in 1989. They both ended up at Fort Rucker, Ala., for a time together. Prior to their retirement from military service – which was the same day – they decided to team up and form a consulting company.

The concept of the business was drawn on a napkin at a local seafood restaurant. The company’s focus would be:  provide expertise to government program offices, help the military shape future strategies through product and program development with the private sector, and enhance regional economic development.

What began around a folding table in a back room of the historic Rawls Hotel in downtown Enterprise, Ala., – not far from the famous Boll Weevil Monument – has grown into a major player in defense and industry contracting with offices and off-site locations in the United States and overseas.
